About: Stanley Hofstædter

NAME : Stanley Hofstædter 

AGE : 45 

BACKGROUND : Kyokushin full contact karate, K1, Bare knuckle boxing.

Stanley started with Kyokushinkai Karate as an 11-year-old. Kyokushinkai. Kyokushinkai (or just kyokushin) is a style of karate that was founded by sosai Masutatsu Oyama in 1957. Kyokushin karate is full contact karate and is considered the hardest and strongest karate style. 

In 1995, Stanley became the youngest person in Norway to be awarded the degree of shodan (black belt). Some of Hofstædter's achievements in the sport included 7x NM titles, 2x Nordic champion and a total of 30 regional and Southern champion medals. 

In 1997, he scaled back his martial arts training to actively engage in bodybuilding. Already in 1999, after 2 years of training, he competed, and in 2001 he won gold in the -80 class in the Norwegian Championship Oslo Gp. 

Hofstädter returned to martial arts and in 2002 he signed for M.Palle', to fight K1. He got 7 games in 2 years in Denmark and Holland with a record of 6-0-1. 

Training became a hobby again and Hofstädter alternated between Thaiboxing, kickboxing, karate and bjj. Not until 2018 did things get serious again. 

By chance, Hofstädter was discovered in England and invited to a TRY-OUT. After 2 eliminations, 8 athletes were offered a professional contract, one of them was Norwegian Hofstädter. Hofstædter became the first in Norway to sign a professional contract in Bare Knuckle Boxing. Stanley signed for UBKB (Ultimate Bare Knuckle Boxing), which is run by Shaun Smith. Shaun Smith is known from the media, Netflix and TV documentaries as Britain's scariest debt collector. 

Hofstädter had an unfortunate start to his BKB career and broke his ankle after 1 minute in the ring against the Englishman Lee Mcgarry. Which later turned out to be due to health problems. Hofstädter is still a professional and will compete in Manchester in March 2023 for the European Champion title.
